80110 - How do I download and install the Livescribe Desktop application software for Windows?
Solution / Answer
To install the Windows Livescribe Desktop:
Access www.livescribe.com/install and select the Windows version of Livescribe Desktop. NOTE: Because you are installing a new Windows device driver you will need to have Administrator rights in order to install Windows Livescribe Desktop. For Windows 8, 7, and Vista users - if you get a message that asks for your permission to continue click the “Yes” (8, 7) / “Allow” (Vista) button.
If prompted with a Security Warning “Do you want to run or save this file?” click “Run”.
If prompted with “The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?” click “Run”.
On the “Livescribe Desktop Setup” window click the “Next” button.
Click the check-box for “I agree…” if you accept the terms of the License Agreement and then click the “Next >” button.
On the “Destination Folder” window leave the default Livescribe Desktop installation location or select “Change…” to browse to a new location and click the “Next >” button.
Click the “Next >” button.
Click “Next >”
At the “Please register your smartpen” screen click the “Next” button.
Click the “Finish” button to exit the wizard and complete the installation.
Livescribe Desktop is now installed and will start automatically whenever you dock your smartpen.
NOTE: If you are reinstalling Livescribe Desktop but cannot get any of the Connectors to respond when you click on them or send to them, restart your computer. When you open Livescribe Desktop you will be able to use Connect once more.
